American Provenance was founded by Kyle LaFond, a former middle-school science teacher who grew concerned about the questionable ingredients in the personal-care products his students used every day. He challenged his class to make their own — without the harsh chemicals. After years of experiments and refinements to his own formulas, Kyle launched American Provenance, with roots on his family's fourth-generation Wisconsin farm, where the idea first took hold. Today, we handcraft all of our own products in our own facility in southern Wisconsin — not far from where it all began.
